It’s true. You have purpose and you were created for a reason. You can’t afford to give up now. Don’t cut yourself or the world short of extraordinary greatness. Let the hurt, pain, suffering and disappointments drive you closer to humility. Once we are at the end of our rope, once we’ve lost the things closest to us, we are considered blessed.
Don’t give up on yourself because “You’re blessed when you’re at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule.”
Don’t give up on life because “You’re blessed when you feel you’ve lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you.”
Over the years we’ve carried burdens we weren’t created to hold. Yes, life has trials and tribulations but they are only of benefit to mature and refine our perspective. Have you ever been so tired you can’t sleep no matter how hard you try? That’s because your soul is the one that needs rest.
If my God-defined people, respond by humbling themselves, praying, seeking my presence, and turning their backs on their wicked lives, I’ll be there ready for you: I’ll listen from heaven, forgive their sins, and restore their land to health. 2 Chronicles 7:12-18 MSG
Wicked doesn’t only mean (a “big”) sin like being a killer, bank robber, adulterer etc. Wicked means the simplest or smallest selfish desire we have in our heart. Things we refuse to hand over to God and leave at the alter. These things take a strong hold over us. Most times we think we are in control and we have a strong grip on these hidden things but in reality they have a hold on us and destroy our strength and wear us down because they eventually become so heavy, too heavy.
That’s not the weight or “cross” God wants us to carry. When you find yourself ‘here’ “weak” and “burned out” break through is near. Finally you’ve received the best invitation to rest and refresh. People spend thousands of dollars to go to fancy retreats to “find” back themselves mean while God is…. you heard what I just said?… God himself is inviting you to BE CLOSE TO HIM for free. I mean it cost you, YOU but He is your reward.
To come as weak as you are, to check into His hospital, His rehab. Where else can you go and think you’ll get better care? He’s the best surgeon. And lets be honest (because that’s literally all we have left) if we are coming to Him this broken thats because we need heart surgery. Just go ahead and sign the permission slip or surgical paperwork and give Him the rights to fix and heal you. Don’t stay stubborn sweetheart. Don’t stay sick.
Weakness is not weakness it’s your greatest strength!
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
The best action you can do for yourself is “to come”. Surrender. Answer the invitation with a yes. He will sustain you in the fire. You may “come” burnout or burning up on the inside but crawl if you need to, just make sure you ‘come’.
“Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me.” Matthew 11:28-29 TPT
What does God do when we give up on ourself?
“GOD pays for each slave’s freedom; no one who runs to him loses out. Psalm 34:22 MSG
Never once did he ask us to fix our problems then come to Him. “No human being can please God by self-improvement” Galatians 2:15-16 MSG
Never once did He require perfection. “Have some of you noticed that we are not yet perfect? (No great surprise, right?) Galatians 2:17-18 MSG
“Let me put this question to you: How did your new life begin?….For only crazy people would think they could complete by their own efforts what was begun by God. If you weren’t smart enough or strong enough to begin it, how do you suppose you could perfect it?” Galatians 3:2-4 MSG
So I quit being a “law man” so that I could be God’s man. Christ’s life showed me how, and enabled me to do it….My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God…. If a living relationship with God could come by rule-keeping, then Christ died unnecessarily.” Galatians 2:19-21 MSG
Usually we make up our own requirements of what condition we need to be in before we feel worthy enough to go to God, but “Doing something for you, bringing something to you— that’s not what you’re after. Being religious, acting pious— that’s not what you’re asking for. You’ve opened my ears so I can listen.” Psalm 40: 6-8
There are somethings He needs to remind you of about yourself. Things He

wants to tell you for the first time. Things He wants to tell you about Himself. After you make that first step (into His presents) then the second plan of action is to listen…to His voice.
“And now, finally, GOD answered Job from the eye of a violent storm. He said: “Why do you confuse the issue? Why do you talk without knowing what you’re talking about? Pull yourself together, Job! Up on your feet! Stand tall! I have some questions for you, and I want some straight answers.” Job 38:1-11 MSG
“Job answered: “I’m speechless, in awe—words fail me. I should never have opened my mouth! I’ve talked too much, way too much. I’m ready to shut up and listen.” Job 40:3-5 MSG
While going through my own soul rehabilitation…
I came across some scriptures that helped me realize I was holding on to man-made beliefs that got me sick. God met me where I was and corrected those assumptions. He had nothing to do with those man-made pressures. Now these scriptures are super real, possibly the unpopular ones but in the state I was in He needed to come after some thoughts of mine with a strong arm. So if these sound too much or too deep, I’m sorry, just know they were necessary and they cut right to the core. Yes they were painful, so painful but my heart is now healed.
23 Healing Bible Verses when you feel like giving up on life:
These scriptures about never giving up will help you to heal deeply and cause you to be real with yourself. There is an unpopular side of God’s correcting love. He wants to discipline, correct, and heal us so that people can fully see we were created in his image.
1) “If you don’t go all the way with me, through thick and thin, you don’t deserve me. If your first concern is to look after yourself, you’ll never find yourself. But if you forget about yourself and look to me, you’ll find both yourself and me.” Matthew 10:38-39 MSG
2) “You’re blessed when you’re content with just who you are—no more, no less. That’s the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can’t be bought.” Matthew 5:3-5 MSG
3)“You’re blessed when you get your inside world—your mind and heart—put right. Then you can see God in the outside world.” Matthew 5:8 MSG
4)“You’re blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That’s when you discover who you really are, and your place in God’s family.” Matthew 5:9 MSG
5)“And if you think you can prove me wrong, do it. Lay out your arguments. Stand up for yourself! Look, I’m human—no better than you; we’re both made of the same kind of mud. So let’s work this through together; don’t let my aggressiveness overwhelm you.” Job 33:5-7 MSG
6)”But let me tell you, Job, you’re wrong, dead wrong! God is far greater than any human. So how dare you haul him into court, and then complain that he won’t answer your charges? God always answers, one way or another, even when people don’t recognize his presence. “In a dream, for instance, a vision at night, when men and women are deep in sleep, fast asleep in their beds— God opens their ears and impresses them with warnings To turn them back from something bad they’re planning, from some reckless choice, And keep them from an early grave, from the river of no return. “Or, God might get their attention through pain, by throwing them on a bed of suffering, So they can’t stand the sight of food, have no appetite for their favorite treats. They lose weight, wasting away to nothing, reduced to a bag of bones. They hang on the cliff-edge of death, knowing the next breath may be their last. “But even then an angel could come, a champion—there are thousands of them!— to take up your cause, A messenger who would mercifully intervene, canceling the death sentence with the words: ‘I’ve come up with the ransom!’ Before you know it, you’re healed, the very picture of health!” Job 33:12-25 MSG
7)“GOD met me more than halfway, he freed me from my anxious fears. Psalm 34:4 MSG
8)“This is the way God works. Over and over again He pulls our souls back from certain destruction so we’ll see the light—and live in the light!” Job 33:29-30 MSG
9)“Look at him; give him your warmest smile. Never hide your feelings from him.”Psalm 34:5 MSG
10)“So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet.” James 4:7-10 MSG
11)“When I was desperate, I called out, and GOD got me out of a tight spot. GOD ’s angel sets up a circle of protection around us while we pray. Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see— how good GOD is. Blessed are you who run to him.” Psalm 34:6-8 MSG
12)“Open up before GOD, keep nothing back; he’ll do whatever needs to be done: He’ll validate your life in the clear light of day and stamp you with approval at high noon.” Psalm 37:5-6 MSG
13)“I’m determined to watch steps and tongue so they won’t land me in trouble. I decided to hold my tongue as long as Wicked is in the room. “Mum’s the word,” I said, and kept quiet. But the longer I kept silence The worse it got— my insides got hotter and hotter. My thoughts boiled over; I spilled my guts.” Psalm 39:1-3 MSG
14)“What am I doing in the meantime, Lord? Hoping, that’s what I’m doing—hoping You’ll save me from a rebel life, save me from the contempt of dunces. I’ll say no more, I’ll shut my mouth, since you, Lord, are behind all this. But I can’t take it much longer. When you put us through the fire to purge us from our sin, our dearest idols go up in smoke. Are we also nothing but smoke?” Psalm 39:7-11 MSG
15)“Blessed are you who give yourselves over to GOD, turn your backs on the world’s “sure thing,” ignore what the world worships; The world’s a huge stockpile of GOD -wonders and God-thoughts. Nothing and no one comes close to you! I start talking about you, telling what I know, and quickly run out of words. Neither numbers nor words account for you.” Psalm 40:4-5 MSG
16) ”Don’t feel sorry for yourselves. Or have you forgotten how good parents treat children, and that God regards you as his children? My dear child, don’t shrug off God’s discipline, but don’t be crushed by it either. It’s the child he loves that he disciplines; the child he embraces, he also corrects. God is educating you; that’s why you must never drop out. He’s treating you as dear children. This trouble you’re in isn’t punishment; it’s training, the normal experience of children. Only irresponsible parents leave children to fend for themselves. Would you prefer an irresponsible God? We respect our own parents for training and not spoiling us, so why not embrace God’s training so we can truly live? While we were children, our parents did what seemed best to them. But God is doing what is best for us, training us to live God’s holy best. At the time, discipline isn’t much fun. It always feels like it’s going against the grain. Later, of course, it pays off handsomely, for it’s the well-trained who find themselves mature in their relationship with God.”Hebrews 12:4-11 MSG
17)“So I answered, “I’m coming. I read in your letter what you wrote about me, And I’m coming to the party you’re throwing for me.” That’s when God’s Word entered my life, became part of my very being. I’ve preached you to the whole congregation, I’ve kept back nothing, GOD —you know that. I didn’t keep the news of your ways a secret, didn’t keep it to myself. I told it all, how dependable you are, how thorough. I didn’t hold back pieces of love and truth For myself alone. I told it all, let the congregation know the whole story. Doing something for you, bringing something to you— that’s not what you’re after. Being religious, acting pious— that’s not what you’re asking for. You’ve opened my ears so I can listen.” Psalm 40:6-10 MSG
18)“Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.” James 1:2-4 MSG
19)“But all who are hunting for you— oh, let them sing and be happy. Let those who know what you’re all about tell the world you’re great and not quitting. And me? I’m a mess. I’m nothing and have nothing: make something of me. You can do it; you’ve got what it takes— but God, don’t put it off.” Psalm 40:16-17 MSG
20)“Take the old prophets as your mentors. They put up with anything, went through everything, and never once quit, all the time honoring God. What a gift life is to those who stay the course! You’ve heard, of course, of Job’s staying power, and you know how God brought it all together for him at the end. That’s because God cares, cares right down to the last detail.” James 5:10-11 MSG
21)“Do you see what we’ve got? An unshakable kingdom! And do you see how thankful we must be? Not only thankful, but brimming with worship, deeply reverent before God. For God is not an indifferent bystander. He’s actively cleaning house, torching all that needs to burn, and he won’t quit until it’s all cleansed. God himself is Fire!” Hebrews 12:28-29 MSG
22)“Anyone who meets a testing challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate. For such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life and more life.” James 1:12 MSG
23)“Since Jesus went through everything you’re going through and more, learn to think like him. Think of your sufferings as a weaning from that old sinful habit of always expecting to get your own way. Then you’ll be able to live out your days free to pursue what God wants instead of being tyrannized by what you want.” 1 Peter 4:1-2 MSG
God has always wanted to be REAL with us. He requires a REAL HEART. Whether it’s fractured, broken, shattered, full of hate, pain, resentment, joy, contentment, peace WHATEVER EMOTIONS. He just wants a real conversation. A humble conversation. We are only humans, we can’t expect us to have it all together and figured out. Being real with ourselves is KNOWING WE NEED GOD, FOR EVERYTHING. Don’t give up on the better days. You can not give up on YOUR better days. YOUR story, History doesn’t stop here. This isn’t the end for you.
You’re invited to come. Just bring your heart.

“Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. Keep your guard up. You’re not the only ones plunged into these hard times. It’s the same with Christians all over the world. So keep a firm grip on the faith. The suffering won’t last forever. It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ—eternal and glorious plans they are!—will have you put together and on your feet for good. He gets the last word; yes, he does.” 1 Peter 5:8-11 MSG
